About Birkat Habayit, Happy Home

Birkat HaBayit is a prayer that means Blessing for the Home. The blessing is often featured on wall hangings located near a home’s entryway. The prayer is an assertion of hope for a home that is a refuge from a world that can be challenging.  The prayer asks that our homes be free from sadness, trouble, fearfulness, and conflict—while being filled with blessings of joy and peace.   My hope is that the paintings in this gallery serve as visual prayers to be placed on walls, or prayers to receive in card form. My kavanah, or intention, is that our homes become sanctuaries containing our highest aspirations for connection, compassion, creativity, and joy.
